If you are feeling a little crafty this holiday season, here are 4 DIY gift ideas that are sure to please anyone on your list! And hey, while you are creating these wonderful goodies, why not make extra for yourself! 😉
This sugar body scrub is sure to leave even the driest and roughest skin smooth and soft. Not to mention, it smells really good as well! Feel free to make any substitutions you’d like. A few suggestions for substitutions are: brown sugar for coconut sugar; jojoba oil, avocado oil or olive oil for almond oil. To add extra aroma and therapeutic benefits, try adding essential oils such as peppermint, citrus, or lavender.
Coconut Oat Body Scrub
– 4 tablespoons coconut sugar
– 4 tablespoons gluten free oats
– 4 tablespoons aloe vera gel
– 2 tablespoons raw honey
– 2 tsp almond oil
Mix all the ingredients together and store in a glass jar. It is preferable to store in a glass jar with a plastic lid instead of metal if you are planning on keeping the sugar scrub in the shower. The metal lid may rust.
For those who are more adventurous and health conscious on your gift list, try making them homemade toothpaste! It’s pretty easy! This recipe only contains 3 simple ingredients and is inspired by Meghan Telpher’s recipe which you can check out here. I have fallen in love with this toothpaste!

This body butter is perfect for these dry winter days. And the best part?! No greasy feeling after you use it! I used lavender oil in this body butter recipe, but if you are looking for a pick me up, try peppermint, orange, grapefruit, or lemon essential oil. For a more solid body butter try adding more beeswax.
Lavender Body Butter

Heat beeswax in a double boiler with about a teaspoon of water. Then add cocoa butter and coconut oil and mix together. Remove from heat and let cool for a minute or two. Then add almond oil and lavender oil and mix well. Store in a glass jar.
